Micah Flick - Sheriff's Deputy Fatality - Colorado

Deputy Sheriff Micah Flick, age 34, died in the line of duty on February 5, 2018, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Deputy Flick was a member of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. He had 11 years of service.

At about 4:00 p.m., Micah and other officers were investigating an auto theft incident at an apartment complex in Colorado Springs. The officers tried to take a male suspect into custody. The male suspect struggled with the officers, then opened fire. Three deputies were shot.

The shooter, Manuel Zetina, age 19, was then shot and killed by return fire.

Tragically, Micah succumbed to his injuries.

The members of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office are in mourning over the death of their brother.
Micah was a professional and was an asset to his comrades. He was well-liked and well-respected. He was one of the good guys. He will be forever remembered.

Micah's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. Micah was a man who loved Jesus, loved his family and lived life with passion. He was greatly loved in return. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Micah is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his wife and 7 year old twin daughter and son.

Pray for all who die suddenly. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

God save us from the psychopaths and the thieves. They are killing us, Father. Amen.

Pray that Micah is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
