Just after midnight, Anthony was driving with another trooper on Interstate 195 in Monmouth County, when their patrol vehicle struck a deer.  The sudden impact caused the vehicle to run off the side of the road and veer into a tree.

Both troopers were rushed to a nearby hospital where tragically Anthony succumbed to his injuries.

Anthony was a Middlesex County resident who graduated from the 152nd State Police Academy class in 2013.
